Pakistan & IMF Agree To Maintain Tax Targets

Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have agreed to maintain tax targets.Sources said that no more tax burden will be imposed on the people this year, the tax target of Rs 4963 billion will be maintained till June 30, 2021.

Administrative and enforcement measures will be taken to achieve the tax targets. The collection target for the first half of the current financial year will be achieved.In five months, the FBR has achieved the set tax targets and the FBR’s tax collections have exceeded the targets.

The FBR has collected gross revenue of Rs 1773 billion in the first five months of the financial year. According to sources, tax of Rs 1688 billion has been collected from July to November.
