PPSC Paper Leak: ACE Arrested Gang Of Four People

Two hours before the PPSC exam for the post of Tehsildar, the suspects grabbed the leaking papers with red hands, the ACE said.A three-member special investigation team was formed to investigate the incident. Apart from Tehsildar, other papers for other posts were also leaked by this group.

The ACE investigation team said that the four accused were nabbed just two hours before the paperwork for 58 posts of Tehsildar, Conciliation / Hill Torrent Officer, Reader to Member Board of Revenue (BS16). The anti-corruption team identified the four accused as Waqar Akram, a junior data entry operator at PPSC, Ghazanfar, an employee of the finance department, Gohar Ali and Mazhar Iqbal, an M.Phil history student at Punjab University.

A spokesman for the ACE revealed in a press conference that DG ACE Punjab Muhammad Gohar Nafees had formed a three-member special investigation team to determine who was involved in leaking the papers. The action was taken after the ACE put pressure on protesting students across Punjab, who were left on paper when the leak was canceled at the last minute.

The matter is under further investigation. Commenting on the matter, the DG ACE said: “This is a matter of national concern. It has shattered the confidence of the candidates in a reputed institution like PPSC. Bring all the facts of this scam before the nation.” Will go and strict action will be taken against all those involved in shameful acts. The PPSC had to cancel some of the papers scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday (today) following an ACE-certified paper leak indication on Saturday morning. These articles were: Tehsildar / Stability Officer / Hill Torrent Officer / Reader to Member Board of Revenue (Ministerial Quota) (BS16).

On Saturday, a large number of candidates protested against PPSC officials outside the PPSC examination center in Model Town for failing to ensure transparency in the conduct of examinations.
