Pakistan Govt Announces 60,000 Internships, 100,000 Laptops For Students

60,000 recent graduates from throughout the nation will receive paid internships under the government’s new internship program, according to the federal minister for planning, development, and special initiatives Ahsan Iqbal, who made the announcement on Friday.

According to a statement, the federal minister government is also providing scholarships to applicants who are accepted into one of the top 25 colleges on the planet.

In addition, the minister said that 100,000 university students would receive computers to help them become more tech-savvy.

“During our prior term, we distributed one million computers, which had the effect of promoting the free-lancing culture among the kids,” he continued.

Iqbal announced 20,000 scholarships for unemployed graduates of the nation last month. He announced it while giving a speech in Islamabad at an international forum on higher education and workforce development.

The Youth Development Initiatives (YDI), recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, would also grant scholarships to students from remote areas of the nation, according to Ahsan Iqbal.

The federal government agreed to reinstate the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme and other various programs within the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, according to an earlier December 2022 announcement by SAPM on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja (PMYP).
