Baitul Mal to offer 250 scholarships For IIU students

The International Islamic University (IIU) and Pakistan Baitul Mal have inked a bilateral cooperation memorandum under which they will provide financial support to needy university students. Baitul-Mal will award scholarships to 175 excellent undergraduate students and 75 postgraduate students. The university will endorse these students.

The MoU was signed here at the University’s new campus by Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President IIU, and Mr. Ameer Fida Paracha, Managing Director Baitul Mal.

Universal Children’s Day, International Women’s Day, Thalassemia Day, World Blood Day, and World AIDS Day will be observed jointly by both parties. Baitul Mal will also offer internship opportunities to IUI students.

On this occasion, Amir Fida Paracha stated that Baitul-Mal wishes to provide financial support to all the poor without regard to cost, color, or race. He stated that intelligent pupils are an asset to the country and that they will always be Baitul-Mal’s main focus. He stated that the young are the key to success and wealth and that we should invest in their education to achieve the best results.

The IIUI President talked on the occasion about the university’s services, support for free education for disadvantaged students, and the university’s vision. He thanked MD Baitul-Mal for always remembering IIUI students when it came to support them.

He stated that the university aims to assist impoverished students by providing more resources and chances. He believed that this Memorandum of Understanding will lead to a closer relationship between IIUI and Baitul Mal. HE Dr. Hathal also stated that he will express Baitul-Mal’s mission and exceptional services to benefactors worldwide and serve as a conduit to develop joint ventures to benefit societies.
