England’s Stuart Broad Concedes Most Expensive Over in Test Cricket

England fast bowler Stuart Broad made the most expensive over in Test cricket. In the Birmingham Test against India, Stuart Broad scored 35 runs in an over, six of which were extras, while Jaspreet Bumra scored 29 runs.

Bumra hit 2 sixes, 4 fours and a single off Broad’s balls, hitting a six off nine balls in this over while Broad also gave away 5 wide runs. Jaspreet Bumra also set the record for most runs in an over as a batsman. Earlier, Brian Lara, George Bailey and Kishu Maharaj had scored 28.28 runs in an over.

It wasn’t the first costly over of Broad’s international career – he conceded 36 during the 2007 World Twenty20 in Durban when India’s Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes.
