NAB arrested Mir Shakeelur Rehman Head of Jang group. Earlier, NAB Lahore had summoned Shakeelur Rehman on March 5 and a questionnaire was also provided in this regard. A spokesman for NAB confirmed the arrest of Jang Group chief Mir Shakeelur Rehman. Mir Shakeel was accused of receiving 54 plots in former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif’s second term. On Thursday, NAB officials summoned Mir Shakeel ur Rehman and were arrested after a two-hour investigation. According to NAB officials, the accused will be presented to the accountability court in Lahore on Friday and requested to receive his physical remand.
Explaining the details of the case in which Shakeel-ur-Rehman was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau, the spokesperson said that in 1986, the Lahore Development Authority, in Johar Town, Lahore, granted immunity on 180 Kanal land. The names of Ali and Hakim Ali were allotted while his power of attorney Mir Shakeelur Rehman was.
The statement issued by the NAB states that in 1986, the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif changed the rules of immunity to 55 kanal five murals named after Hidayat Ali and Hakim Ali, whose attorney, Mir Shakeel-ur-Rehman.
