Amanullah

Leading Pakistani comedian Amanullah died in Lahore on March 6, 2020 after a long illness due to kidney and lung disease. Born in 1950, Amanullah was 70 years old.Apart from numerous theater plays, Amanullah also made a name for himself by participating in comedy talk shows on various private TV channels.

He was considered one of the best comedians in the country, hence Amanullah was also called the Comedy King. Amanullah was awarded the Pride of Performance for his services.

Zara Abid

Karachi-based fashion model Zara Abid died in a tragic accident on May 22 when a PIA flight PK3803 from Lahore to Karachi crashed into a residential area shortly before landing at Jinnah International Airport. 97 people including the pilot were killed while 2 passengers miraculously survived.Zara Abid quickly made her mark and received the Best Model award at the Lux Style Awards.

After her death, Zara Abid’s first short film “Sikka” was released on YouTube in May. Talking to Samaa Digital, the young director of the film, Ahmed Sarem, said that he did not have a budget for the film. Despite not having a budget, Zara decided to work in the film and she arranged her own costumes for the film and flew from Islamabad to Karachi as an angel to shoot the film.

Former actress Sabiha Khanum passed away in June 2020 in the US state of Virginia. She was suffering from other diseases including kidney. Sabiha Khanum was born on October 16, 1935 in Gujarat, Punjab. The actress, who made her debut in the film industry in 1950, was also awarded the Medal of Excellence for Best Actress and the largest filmmaker award in Pakistan.
