Shabar Zaidi, former chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), has made the startling revelation that Pakistani businessmen have 150 150 billion in foreign bank accounts, on which they have made meager profits due to low interest rates. Now is the time for these Pakistanis to think about bringing their money back home.
Referring to his meeting with a prominent businessman, Shabar Zaidi said that Pakistani dollars were deposited in banks of countries like Malta. Now is the time to ask them to bring their money back to Pakistan.
He said that the names and addresses of Pakistanis who own the 150 billion dollars are known.Speaking to this correspondent after the webinar, the former FBR chairman said that he had mentioned in his book that business men are getting only one to two per cent profit on their savings.
