Resignations PML-N Members FRom National Assembly

Islamabad:The issue of resignation of PDM members from the assemblies has taken an interesting turn. The National Assembly Secretariat says that 2 members of the PML-N have sent their resignations to Speaker Asad Qaiser while the PML-N is denying it.

The National Assembly Secretariat released copies of the resignations of both the members and Speaker Asad Qaiser summoned the two resigned members of the National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Muhammad Sajjad for confirmation.

A letter was issued to both the members to contact the National Assembly Secretariat to confirm the resignations. It was said that both the members of the Assembly sent their resignations to Speaker Asad Qaiser on official letter pad. According to the signatures given in, the members should inform the National Assembly Secretariat about the date of their appearance before the Speaker to confirm their resignations.

The letter said that within 7 days of the date given by the members, they would be called to confirm their resignations, and if they did not respond, it would be presumed that they had nothing to say in their defense. In case of non-appearance, their resignations will be accepted.

On the other hand, PML-N spokesperson Maryam Aurangzeb denied that the party leaders had submitted their resignations directly to the Speaker of the National Assembly and said that Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Muhammad Sajjad had submitted their resignations directly to the Speaker of the National Assembly.
