The cold in the plains of Punjab increased the fog. The motorway was closed to traffic from several places, and the schedule of flights was also affected. The intensity of winter has increased in different parts of the country. Due to very low visibility due to fog in Dogran Monastery, Pindi Bhattian, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujarat, citizens faced problems due to low visibility. Heavy fog affected daily life in Okara, Chichawatni and many other areas on the national highway.
According to the motorway police, citizens should avoid unnecessary travel in fog. The flight schedule was also affected due to fog and flight operations at Lahore Airport had to be suspended. Delays in flights caused difficulties for passengers. The Meteorological Department has forecast severe cold in different parts of the country including Lahore and Islamabad.
