Corona affects more than 20 million jobs: Asad Omar

Federal Minister Asad Omar said in a media briefing that after Corona, the Prime Minister gave priority to the health sector, the Prime Minister also paid attention to the unemployed people affected by Corona, it was said not to go for smart lockdown. He said that Corona also affected developed countries, adding that millions of people lost their jobs in India due to Corona.

Asad Omar said that severe lockdown in some countries has increased economic difficulties, 72% of employees working in the industrial sector were also affected by the lockdown, the industry and construction sector was opened during the smart lockdown, complete lockdown Instead of adopting a smart lockdown policy, there was a risk of more damage if decisions were not made in a timely manner.

On the other hand, according to the latest figures from the National Command and Operations Center, 41 people died from the corona virus, bringing the death toll to 10,717. The number of confirmed cases of Corona in Pakistan has reached 56,701.

During the last 24 hours, 2,408 new cases were reported, one lakh 46,016 in Punjab, 227,885 in Sindh, 61,648 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,429 in Balochistan and 4,882 in Gilgit-Baltistan. 39,340 cases were reported in Abad while 8,501 cases were reported in Azad Kashmir.

So far 71,062,626 people have been tested across the country, 40,088 new tests have been done in the last 24 hours, so far 461,977 patients have recovered while the condition of 2,340 patients is critical.

In Pakistan, 41 people died from Corona in one day, bringing the death toll from the virus to 10,717. 4,299 patients died in Punjab, 3,708 in Sindh, 1,743 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 443 in Islamabad, 188 in Balochistan, 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 235 in Azad Kashmir.
