Fog, Traffic Affected, Flights Partially Suspended In Punjab Including Lahore

Due to fog in the plains of Punjab including Ahur, visibility was severely reduced, traffic flow on motorways and major highways was affected, flight operation at Lahore Airport was partially suspended.Fog enveloped Lahore, there is a possibility of rain today.

A youth was killed and four others were injured in traffic accidents in Ferozwala and Zafarwal areas on the outskirts of the city. The fog reigned in and around Dogran Monastery. Motorway M2 interchange from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian was closed.

Zafarwal was also shrouded in fog. Due to heavy fog on Darman Road and Kashmir Road, the visibility was reduced to zero. Traffic flow was affected and citizens faced severe difficulties in getting around. Heavy fog also increased the severity of the cold.In Karachi, the severity of cold has increased from today.

According to the Meteorological Department, cold and strong winds are prevailing in the city. The wind speed is 25 to 30 kmph. The temperature was recorded at 11 degrees while the maximum temperature is expected to be 24 to 26 degrees.
