Under circular dated 27-02-2023 from the Office of the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues, the Revenue Department provides employees with the option of receiving a special dispensation. Officials working for the federal government are eligible for this exemption. The circular’s particulars are provided below.
Grant of Higher Scale for Civil Servants of FG
Those working for AGPR in the Pakistani government are afforded certain privileges by the Pakistani federal government. The Time Scale Policy-2022 provides the basis for the exception being granted. The aforementioned dispensation may be utilized by the staff. Within a certain period of time, they can also choose to reject this exception.
Employees who can avail of Special Dispensation Allowance
Federal employees from the BS-01 through BS-16 grade levels are eligible for this waiver. Those with a BS level higher than 16 need not apply. In other words, this exemption applies to all civil servants up to and including BS-16.
Considering Grant of Higher Time Scale as Lapsed
In accordance with the aforementioned O.M., “One Chance of award of Higher Time Scale, allowed under Time Scale Policy-2022, shall be treated as lapsed with respect to personnel who avail benefit under this Dispensation.” So, if employees from BS-01 to BS-16 use the Advantages of this program, they will be judged to have forfeited their only opportunity to advance in the Time Scale. In this situation, they will not enjoy the advantages of a Longer Time Scale even once.
Rejection of Special Dispensation by Employees
It’s common knowledge that BS-01 through BS-16 Federal Government employees are being given special treatment. Employees who are not interested in using Special Dispensation might decline it. Write to Admin-II Wing and let them know what you think. Within five business days of this notice’s publication, they must make their decision known. According to the proposed motion, the authorities will take the next step.
Note that employees will be deemed to have elected to participate in this benefit program and receive its associated compensation until they specifically decline to do so.
Upgrade and timeline notifications have begun to be issued by several Offices on an individual basis. Employees who have received by-name orders of upgradation or higher pay scales should contact their respective accounts offices to arrange for pay fixation.
