PDM steering committee meeting, Bilawal Bhutto’s non-participation

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the anti-government opposition Ittehad-e-Pakistan Democratic Movement is underway under the chairmanship of PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The PDM meeting is attended by Maryam Nawaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Zahid Khan, Sikandar Sherpao, Jahanzeb Jamaldini from BNP Mengal, Agha Hassan Baloch, Akram Durrani and other leaders.

According to sources, the meeting will consider the strategy of protest outside the Election Commission while after the January 31 deadline, the strategy of PDM will also be discussed.

PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the meeting would finalize the demonstration before the Election Commission on January 19 and there would be a detailed consultation on the long march while the issue of resignations from the assemblies would also be considered.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is not attending the PDM meeting.

On this issue, when Maryam Nawaz arrived to attend the meeting, the journalist asked her that Bilawal Bhutto is not even today. What would you say? On this Maryam Nawaz said that Bilawal is not a member of the steering committee so he did not come.

Asked if he was not a member of the steering committee, the PML-N leader said, “I have been specially invited to attend today’s meeting.”
