The Chief Justice Took Suo Motu Notice Of Burning Of The Temple In Karak

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed took suo motu notice of the incident of arson and demolition of a temple in Karak area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The Chief Justice sought a report from the IG and Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by January 4, 2021, while the notice would be heard by the Chief Justice on January 5 in Islamabad.

A statement issued by the Supreme Court said that the temple was set on fire by a mob in Karak area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Chief Patron of Pakistan Hindu Council MNA Ramesh Kumar called on the Chief Justice and apprised him of the incident, to which the Chief Justice said that he had already taken notice of the incident.

Speaking to media outside the Supreme Court registry, MNA Ramesh Kumar said, “I have more confidence in the judiciary than the government. A commission headed by Shoaib Suddle has been formed.”MNA Ramesh Kumar said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan has been informed about the incident of burning of Shri Param Hans Ji Maharaj Temple.

He said that a case has been registered under anti-terrorism provisions, several persons named in the case have been arrested and the Prime Minister has also expressed concern over the incident.
