Which consumers will be affected by the increase in electricity prices?

 

An increase in the price of electricity by Rs. 95 per unit will affect all consumers.

Power Division sources said that consumers using up to 50 units of electricity will have to pay Rs 197.50 instead of Rs 100, while those using up to 100 units will have to pay Rs 774 instead of Rs 579.

According to sources, a user using 101 to 200 units of electricity will have to pay Rs 2012 instead of Rs 1622, while a user using up to 300 units will have to pay Rs 3645 instead of Rs 3060.

It may be recalled that yesterday the federal government had announced to increase the price of electricity by Rs 95 per unit.
